FITEC, technology transfer space.
Bta. and the FCRI (Catalan acronym for the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation) have joined forces to bring Bta. a gathering place for members of the industry committed to an ongoing search for new solutions for their products. After stops at Expoquimia (chemical products), Farmamaq (pharmaceutical products) and Construmat in 2007 and again in April 2009, FITEC – the FCRI’s R&D&I space for trade fairs and exhibitions – comes to Bta. with the aim of presenting the technology offerings of universities and research centres to companies in need of advanced solutions.
Despite the fact that their work overlaps in many cases and each has need of the other, research bodies and industry are not in as close contact as might be desired. In an effort to remedy this lack of communication, the FCRI has created FITEC, a travelling space which takes advantage of professional events to approach industry and demonstrate all that universities, government bodies and private research institutions can do for business.
At Bta., the FITEC space will focus on the following areas:
Information Points
Visitors can stop by this area to obtain customised information on the specialised technical offerings available from these centres. Research centres are also able to explain the particulars of their work in greater detail to those who are interested.
R+D+i Project Presentations
These sessions are a platform which puts researchers with something of interest to offer the food and beverage technology and equipment industry in contact with companies looking for new solutions.
Training Workshops
These practical and dynamic activities are designed for both researchers and members of industry. The subjects of the workshops are closely related to the technological activity of the food and beverage sector.
Technology Catalogue
A compilation of the main R&D&I offerings and capabilities of universities and technology centres specialising in the trade show’s sector. The catalogue is available in CD-ROM format and on the FITEC website.
Scientific research offers companies solutions, helping them to innovate in order to be more competitive. This is a search engine which brings research and business together, providing a way to find a R&D&I technology provider and make contact with possible partners for collaborative projects.
