The Fair

Barcelona food technology is one of Europe's most important trade fairs in the sector in terms of exhibition space and number of visitors, as well as the diversity of products presented. Through its three shows - Tecnoalimentaria, Tecnocárnica, and Ingretecno - Bta is able to offer technological solutions in machinery and intermediate food products (ingredients, additives, functionals, etc.) to every single sector of the food and beverage industry.

Professionals from the world of dairy products, fruits and vegetables, canned goods, fish and seafood, wine, spirits, soft drinks, mineral water, oils, in short, from every food and beverage sector, come to Bta to find the technological solutions to meet their needs.

The next edition of Bta, the show's twelfth, will be held 11-15 May 2009 at Fira de Barcelona's modern Gran Vía venue.

Bta & Hispack
In 2009, Bta - Barcelona food technology - will be held simultaneously with Hispack - the International Packaging Exhibition. Two leading events targeting the same visitors will join forces at a single venue to offer food and beverage professionals a complete horizontal selection to meet all their production needs: processing machinery, intermediate food products, containers and packaging. From ingredients to packaging, a total of 3,500 visitors will attend the 2009 edition.

Thanks to the synergies with Hispack, Bta 2009 will take up a position among the three most important European trade fairs for the sector, becoming a true international benchmark. A substantial portion of the 60,000 visitors, approximately 6,000 professionals, will come from abroad.

In addition, exhibition space will grow exponentially as a result of holding the two events simultaneously. At the next edition, the event will expand to 85,000 m2, occupying all of the modern facilities at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Vía venue.
