Tecnoalimentaria

Tecnoalimentaria is an international exhibition of machinery and technology for the food and beverage industry and the food and beverage trade in general. This area is able to meet the needs of each one of the food and beverage market's sectors.

Economically, the food and beverage industry is Spain's most important industrial sector. This market, made up of 31,847 companies, represents 17% of all industrial production and contributes more than 7% of the country's GDP, according to data from the FIAB (Spanish Food and Drink Industry Federation). Over the 2004-2006 period, the sector's net sales experienced a 6.36% increase, reaching almost 77.5 billion euros.

According to the latest FIAB figures, the Spanish food and beverage industry ranks fifth in Europe in terms of sales.
